During my time collaborating with United, I worked across multiple departments to create design solutions that supported internal communications, employee engagement, and brand consistency. My contributions ranged from illustrations and event materials to digital communications and internal campaigns. This included designing a weekly pilot newsletter distributed to over 5,000 staff members across all United hubs, as well as developing a comprehensive Mag+ guide that enabled team members to independently produce future issues. Throughout all projects, I collaborated with cross-functional teams, brainstormed concepts, and delivered polished designs aligned with United’s global brand standards.
Designed the event t-shirt for United’s charity stair climb at Willis Tower. The concept aimed to energize participants and reflect company pride while maintaining brand cohesiveness.
Produced a series of premium illustrations representing signature Polaris Lounge cocktails, supporting the elevated aesthetic and guest experience of United’s flagship lounges.
Our team began a brainstorming session by generating headline concepts for a potential employee appreciation poster. I came up with the line ‘It’s you who helps us brighten the sky,’ which was selected as one of the top ideas. From there, we sketched out visual directions, and I was assigned to develop my concept further. After my sketch was chosen, I completed the final poster which featured route lines derived from real United flight paths. It was displayed across breakrooms and team spaces during Staff Appreciation Day.
Collaborated with a team member to design an internal announcement for the employee intranet highlighting updates to United’s evolving brand. I led the illustration work, creating visuals that supported the message while the final layout balanced clarity and visual interest to ensure strong internal engagement.
Designed a poster for flight attendants featuring updated character illustrations that reflected United’s newly redesigned uniforms. The poster included a clear callout directing crew members to the correct platform for completing their vacation bidding.
Designed a postcard distributed to journalists on Journalist Day to reinforce relationships and express appreciation through a thoughtful, brand-aligned visual piece.
My design work supported employee engagement, internal communication, and brand alignment at scale. The pilot newsletter improved information accessibility across hubs, internal campaigns strengthened clarity and connection, and the Staff Appreciation Day poster became a central visual to celebrate employees throughout the organization. Through collaboration and thoughtful design, I helped United enhance communication and elevate the employee experience across multiple touchpoints.
